We are aware that some of you are having difficulties adding gadgets
to your Site. As a workaround while we fix this issue, please try
holding your mouse button down instead of releasing it. In other
words, click and hold the mouse button on insert, move your mouse to
the item you would like to insert, and only then release the mouse
button once you are pointing to the item you would like to insert.

Sorry. I posted in the wrong thread. I thought I was posting in the
one about security for users. It makes sense there. The way I see it,
the security issue is not to protect users but to protect Site
visitors from malicious Site users. Rather than trust that the user
will abide by the TOS Google goes a step further by making it
impossible for any code, malicious or not, to be used by the Site
user.

"the security issue is not to protect users but to protect Site
visitors from malicious Site users"
Absolutely correct, and it's hard to convey that to people when all
they want to hear is a 'work around' or a 'hack' to do what they want
to in the first place. Thank you for clarifying Google's stand on the
reason why they deny certain specific code being used on their
servers.

Related bug report (couldn't find a better place to report this,
unfortunately):
Inserting a Google Spreadsheet into a page does not work using Webkit
Version 3.2.1 (5525.27.1) (on Mac OS X 10.5.6). There seems to be a
javascript problem. See this screenshot:

That is as far as the lightbox will load. I was able to successfully
insert a spreadsheet using Firefox 3.0.5 on the same OS.

Hi - Am having a problem but it seems different than what you've
described here, so I've added a separate post. When creating/adding a
Text Box, I can't scroll down to the Add/Save/OK button to save my
work.
More below, and thanks for creating this toolset and providing
webspace!
