He was educated in England and His education was highter some burmese
leaders such as ( Aung San who was educated in the rural schools and U
Saw who was educated in Japan)

He refused U Saw's bid to form union with Burma because he believed
that shan should joined with industrious England to get better
development. ( because he thought that Burmase are not strong in
economy at that time) ( 90% of burmese economy was controlled by
indians and chinese)
He dislike Aung San because Aung San is founder of Burmese Communist
Party. ( Shan Communists under instructions of Burma communist Party
was collecting the people who hate Sao Shew Thaik personally.

Sao Shwe Thaik also like to get good relation from China and Thai .
