osteocyte, measuring 10 microns long and five microns wide. Its SEM

Force Microscopy and identified a material in it as a clay particle
(Ref. 1)
Various definitions of clay define clay as smaller than 2 microns or

across. It is located in a specimen of a femur fossil found in
Pennsylvania.
