I saw videos of G1 running debian inside Android and I didn't hear any
problem.Shouldn't they also have such problem?

Cool video,but I don't see the relation to the topic,was it related to
my willingness of an animation framework?
If yes,the QT is way much more powerful,since it's not simply
graphical raster effect,but true transition of buttons and graphic

Hi Chris,

Olvaffe did a OpenGL hack that highjack (:P) the drawing process
before drawing to framebuffer. [1]

I guess it is possible to dump everything QT needed into the system
and launch a QT application. (just guess :P)

But the most important issue is the interaction to Android framework.

I guess it's network service not initialized in bluez problem. If you
look at bluez/utils/network or bluez/utils/serial source code in
Android, you would find it's not built in. You cannot see network.conf
in /etc/bluez/ folder either. Therefore, you cannot activate 'network'
or 'serial' service in bluez.

Hi Julian,
there is QT for embedded linux who does just use framebuffer and its
own window manager.
Would it be possible to statically link to uclibc(or add uclibc to
android,I read it is possible) and run QT software inside android
without any integration or interfaction with android services?

I'm trying to get eclair dalvik vm working on my donut branch with the
htc magic. I've gotten everything to build but when I enable JIT I
get the following errors. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Bevis,

Impossible in nothing !! :-)

However, you should consider the effort.

QT/GTK+ communicate with X. In most case they based on X window system and
glibc.
In Android there is another C library implementation - bionic.
Android has its own Window manager, and it complete drawing by Skia.

I see that 0xlab have a study for qt and android, so in accordance
with the idea of you, is it possible to port Qt on android (0xdroid)?
I would like to develop my application with c/c++ code. If Qt do not
work have there any suggestion for me to write UI ? ex. FLTK? or ...

I tried both the dbus command from serial and network of bluez dbus
but got errors on them.

For DUN connection:

dbus-send --system --type=method_call --print-reply --dest=org.bluez /

Yes ... TLS is working for me by having bionic, etc. always call the
0xffff0fe0 where
the linux kernel places either the mcr instruction for the coprocessor
TLS support or
a software emulation function. That way the user space works no matter
if the kernel
has been compiled with TLS register support or with software TLS.
