I've downloaded, built and tested your 0xdroid dist. It works fine,
but when I change the display resolution to 640x480 the bottom button
panel disappears and the yellow drag "handle" for the right panel
seems to be outside the screen (probably below the bottom edge). Both
these details seems to be customizations you've made to the UI. How
can fix this so it works better for 640x480? How do I completely
remove the bottom button bar from the screen?
Another question about USB modems. I've tried to use a Novatel Ovation
MC750D USB modem in Android, and the device is detected as a SCSI
device, but no device is created in the file system (it works in
Ubuntu). The modem first acts as a usb-storage device and must be
ejected before it changes into an usb-serial device. But I can't eject
it as it's not present in the file system. Anyone got some experience
with USB modems that can help?

As Jserv mentioned, you may checkout the earlier version of Launcher.
By the way, I will improve it to let Launcher fit different resolution.
